The OSB asks for your help to reduce cuts to the courts and public safety
Dear Friends,
Please read the linked memo about House Bills 2335 and 2290, and then contact your legislator. We are in the last few weeks of the legislative session, and we need your help to restore some of the $52 million in cuts facing the court system.
- House Bill 2335 would “Phase-In” full implementation of Measure 57, and would, along with other parts of this package, potentially save the state $75 million to $90 million. This would allow the restoration of some cuts to the public safety system.
- This critical package of bills is currently under consideration in Salem and may be voted on in the next few days.

If you have any questions about the state budget, or need any assistance, please contact the
Oregon State Bar’s Public Affairs Department at 503-431-6358.
Thanks,
Gerry Gaydos, President
Oregon State Bar Board of Governors
