CLE Live Webcasts Bring the Seminar to You
The Oregon State Bar CLE department has launched a new way to earn CLE credits: live webcasts. Streaming video brings the CLE to your computer in real time, allowing you to watch as it’s happening, from the comfort of your own home or office. Plus, you can access an archived video of the seminar and materials for two months after the event.

Two upcoming CLEs are being offered as webcasts: “Snap, Crackle and Pop: Injury Biomechanics and Litigation” (July 16) and “So, You're Not a Physician?” (July 23). More webcasts are planned for later in the year.

For more information visit the OSB CLE website and click on the orange webcast box in the right-hand column.

The Future Is Coming!
The Oregon State Bar will host a special Conference on the Future of the Legal Profession on Friday, September 12, at the Riverhouse in Bend. This conference will feature Keynote speaker Glen Hiemstra of www.futurist.com and Professor Ana Maria Merico of the University of Arizona College of Law. It will include sessions on diversity & demographics, changing law practice and the future of the courts, as well as a vendor fair/trade show and an evening reception.

More details will be available soon at www.osbar.org and in the July issue of the Bulletin.
Fourth Annual OMLA Auction and Raffle
The Oregon Minority Lawyers' Association will hold its fourth annual Auction and Raffle on Thursday, July 31, in the courtyard of the World Trade Center, 121 S.W. Salmon, Portland, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This year's event continues the tradition of fine items to bid on, delicious refreshments to eat and drink, and good friends (old and new) to visit. Proceeds fund scholarships to Oregon bar exam review courses to help increase the passage rate of ethnic and racial minorities, and also to help fund the annual Opportunities for Law In Oregon (OLIO) retreat, a nationally recognized program providing incoming minority law students with the opportunity to meet each other, upper division students, judges, bar leaders, and other lawyers who can serve these students as mentors and role models.

Admission is $10 for lawyers and judges, $5 for law students. RSVP to Anastasia Yu Meisner at aym@guyermeisner.com or (503) 697-1035.
