Once you've entered your six digit bar number on the Create or Update Account and Password page, an email with a confirmation code will be sent to the primary email address associated with your account. If you are a member of the bar, you can use the online member directory to find the primary email associated with your bar record.
Note that it may take a few minutes for the email with your confirmation code to arrive. Every request creates a unique confirmation code that will override any previously created confirmation code. Please also check your spam filter before making a second request.
If you did not receive an email with the confirmation code, or no longer have access to the email address, contact the Oregon State Bar for assistance: (503) 620-0222 or (800) 452-8260, or info@osbar.org.
Your user name will remain your six-digit bar number. Your new password needs to contain a minimum of eight characters, including at least one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter and one number.
Use the online member directory to see the email address set as primary for your record. If your record does not include a primary email address, or if you no longer have access to that email account, call us at (503) 620-0222 or (800) 452-8260, or info@osbar.org.
We know it’s inconvenient, and that you already have a lot of passwords to remember, so we wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t necessary. Keeping our member account information secure is important, and will become even more so as we add new features.
Along with increased security, the new system will give you a single sign-on process for all OSB online services -- including the PLF and Lawyer Referral Service, and soon our new CLE Seminars registration system. You will be able to save your payment information, access more of your bar records, and complete annual compliance functions. We will also be working with law firm administrators to create credentials for them to act on behalf of designated firm members on matters such as fee payments and annual IOLTA reporting.
For the most part no. Most of our pages will retain their addresses, and we will redirect other pages as necessary. The “shortcut” feature for a quick login from the top ribbon of our home page will be removed.
