For the Public
The Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination was created to help legal consumers. Clients who hire an attorney admitted to the bar through the SPPE can expect the same level of skill and accountability as any other attorney.
Similar programs were tried and tested in other states before the SPPE was created for Oregon. Just like bar applicants who take the traditional bar exam, SPPE applicants must submit work to bar examiners and earn passing grades before becoming an attorney.
On this page, you can learn more about the examination and how it improves legal services.
