2016 Law Library Values Online
The 2016 schedule of suggested values for law libraries is now available at on the bar's website. This schedule has been prepared by the property tax division of the Oregon Department of Revenue. Owners of law libraries should declare the schedule values to the assessor.

Willamette Public Interest Law Project Annual Auction Feb. 19
Willamette University College of Law invites you to the "Bid for Justice Auction" supporting summer stipends for law students interested in public interest law.
This year's event will be held at Zenith Vineyards in West Salem on Friday, Feb. 19. Organized by law students, the event typically brings together more than 200 students, faculty, project sponsors and members of the Willamette Valley legal community for an evening of celebration.

Stress Relief for Lawyers Feb. 25
The OSB Quality of Life Committee will present a free seminar, "Stress Relief for Lawyers Through Meditation," Thursday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Standard Insurance Auditorium, 900 S.W. Fifth Ave., Portland.
Attendees will hear from a panel of local lawyers who utilize and benefit from meditation, and from a Portland-based psychotherapist with extensive experience in Zen meditation. There will be a panel discussion as well as the opportunity to participate in a guided meditation.

U.O. Public Interest Fund Dinner and Auction Feb. 19
The University of Oregon School of Law will hold an event to raise funds for summer legal service stipends on Feb. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Eugene Hilton. Law Firm Management Event Slated for Feb. 18
"Building Legal Teams That Stay" is the title of the 2016 Law Firm Management event to be held Feb. 18 at the Monaco Hotel in Portland. The event will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with the presentation at 5 p.m. and a reception afterward. Dick Finnegan, CEO of C-Suite Analytics and author of four top-selling books, including The Power of Stay Interviews, is the featured speaker. He will address employee payroll, training and benefits, building trust and developing strategies for retaining key employees. The cost is $35 for members of the Oregon chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, the sponsor; cost to nonmembers is $45. The program has been approve for one MCLE credit.
