The Executive Director is expected to carry a small caseload and give special attention to difficult cases. In addition, the Executive Director is PDSLC’s chief spokesperson and its primary representative and liaison with the Oregon legislature, the judiciary and courts, and state and local public safety and criminal justice agencies. In this capacity, the Executive Director demonstrates a commitment to public defense policy and practice and the ability to build successful relationships within the public defense community. Minimum qualifications: 1. A Juris Doctor degree, membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar, and the ability to practice law in Oregon. 2. A minimum of 6 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. 3.
