OSB Day at the Capitol Set for May 5
On Tuesday, May 5, the Oregon State Bar will host Day at the Capitol, an opportunity for lawyers to meet with their representatives and senators to talk about justice system issues of importance to the bar. The day will be a chance to discuss the bar’s priorities for the 2015 legislative session: adequate funding of the justice system; maintaining support for civil services; and adequate funding for indigent defense services.
Discussions will be held with legislators throughout the day at the state capitol in room 350, with a program at noon featuring remarks by Chief Justice Thomas Balmer. If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Amanda Lunsford at (800) 452-8260 ext. 376 or email pubaff@osbar.org .

‘Copy with Citation’ Streamlines Fastcase Research
Organizing legal research can be daunting, especially at the beginning of a project. Often portions of cases are relevant to the central issue, but the majority of the opinion is unimportant and not needed to write a brief. Fastcase can streamline this research with one simple tool: “Copy with Citation.” This feature saves small portions of cases and allows users to return to the source material at a later time if more context is needed.
To copy text with a citation, simply click and drag to highlight the portion of interest. Fastcase will automatically open a menu with two options: “Copy Text” and “Copy with Citation.” Select “Copy with Citation.”
