Notice of Reinstatement Application
The following attorneys have filed an application for reinstatement as an active member of the Oregon State Bar pursuant to Rule of Procedure (BR) 8.1:

Dennis L. Dunn of Salem, #861835. Dennis Dunn is seeking reinstatement following a one-year disciplinary suspension effective Nov. 30, 2006. In re Dunn, SC S54154, 20 DB Rptr 255 (2006). Since his 2006 suspension, Dunn has sold insurance annuities, worked as a paralegal and written two musical plays. Upon reinstatement, he plans to reopen a law office in Salem.

Richard Fairclo of Hawaii, #751144. Richard Fairclo transferred to inactive status in 2004 when he sold his Klamath Falls law practice and moved to Hawaii. While inactive, Fairclo has worked as a contract paralegal for Oregon and Hawaii lawyers. He plans to resume a Klamath Falls law practice after his reinstatement.

Patrick T. Hughes of Eugene, #990614. Patrick Hughes seeks reinstatement following a 120-day disciplinary suspension effective Nov. 12, 2008. In re Hughes, 22 DB Rptr 313 (2008). He has been employed as the human resources administrator for the Eugene School District since December 2007. Following reinstatement, Hughes plans to remain in that position, in addition to pursuing contract legal work in the area of estate planning.

Terry M. Rood of Tigard, #823283. Terry Rood transferred to inactive status in 1988 to pursue a graduate degree in counseling and stay home with her family. Since 2008, she has worked as a contract legal assistant. After reinstatement to active membership status, Rood plans to open a solo law practice in Portland.

Michael A. Schoessler of Portland, #964208. Michael Schoessler transferred to inactive status in 1999, the year he was admitted to the Minnesota Bar. Since 1997, he has worked for the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, in Minnesota, New Mexico and currently in the Portland office. Schoessler plans to remain in that position after his reinstatement.

The Rules of Procedure require the Board of Governors to conduct an investigation of BR 8.1 reinstatement applications to determine whether applicants possess the good moral character and general fitness to practice law and whether the resumption of the practice of law in this state by the applicants will not be detrimental to the administration of justice or the public interest. The following is a list of applicants for the February 2010 Oregon bar examination. Applicants for admission to practice law in Oregon must demonstrate that they are qualified on moral character and fitness grounds. To aid the Board of Bar Examiners in its investigation of these qualifications, the following is a list of applicants who have submitted applications for the February 2010 bar exam. The board requests that members examine this list and bring to the board’s attention in a signed letter any information that might influence the board in considering the moral character of any applicant for admission.
