DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT, Gift Planning — The University of Oregon is seeking applications for a newly created Director of Development for the Gift Planning program. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Gift Planning, the Development Director is primarily a front-line development officer focused on researching, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donor-partners at the major gift level. Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree; either a minimum of two years estate planning law or financial planning experience, OR three years experience in frontline fund raising; knowledge of and demonstrated experience working with estate planning concepts and/or techniques; expertise collaborating with fundraisers to develop strategies for approaching, cultivating and soliciting gifts; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; self-starter who can work independently. Professional travel is required, mostly west coast. Experience in a university setting preferred salary is commensurate with experience and will range from $70,000 – 90,000.
