For its 20th Anniversary, the Northwest Bankruptcy Institute brings to Vancouver some of the best from past institutes, including the Hon. Keith Lundin and Henry Hildebrand reviewing recent Chapter 13 developments, and Eric Brunstad discussing bankruptcy cases in the U.S. Supreme Court. The institute also features a session on ethical issues in business bankruptcies, a trustees’ panel and five breakout sessions. This information-packed seminar will delve into proving motive through pattern, practice and other acts of evidence, and examine when expert witnesses are and are not needed, as well as what to do with the experts once you have them. Whether to file in state court or federal court will be discussed, and a view from the bench will provide valuable insight about common mistakes and how to avoid them. Also, discover what information is most helpful to judges in preparing them to rule "your way."
