Oregon's Death with Dignity Act Health Division Page On October 27, 1997 physician-assisted suicide became a legal medical option for terminally ill Oregonians. The Oregon Death with Dignity Act requires that the Oregon Health Division (OHD) monitor compliance with the law, collect information about the patients and physicians who participate in legal physician-assisted suicide, and publish an annual statistical report. www.ohd.hr.state.or.us/chs/pas/pas.htm

Oregon UCC Record Search UCC is a ministerial agency operating within the Corporation Division, under the auspices of the Secretary of State of Oregon. Its purpose is to Record, Retain, and Retrieve information concerning Uniform Commercial Code filings. It exists to reduce the risk of creditors by a) establishing a security interest incurred by a debtor, so that priority of claim may be proved in case of bankruptcy or default; and b) by providing information on financing statements and liens to interested parties. Oregon Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) Publications Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) is a statewide network of trained volunteers who educate, assist and advocate for seniors about their rights and options regarding health insurance, so they can make informed choices. SHIBA volunteers are trained and kept up to date by experts in the Oregon Insurance Division. They are able to answer questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplement insurance, managed care, Long-term Care insurance, employment-related benefits, medical billings assistance, retirement health plans, pre-retirement decisions, and other consumer protection issues. Oregon Unclaimed Property The goal of Oregons Unclaimed Property Program is to reunite as many people as possible with their money. When the Division cannot find the rightful owner, unclaimed money is held in trust and the interest earned benefits Oregon's K-12 public schools, along with other money earned by the Division of State Lands. Note: The "lost" asset is not land.
