The Elder Law Section proposed the following legislation during the 2005 Legislative session, all of which are now law:
A proposal to amend ORS 125.440(2) to allow a conservatorship to be terminated upon the creation of a trust in certain circumstances. The proposal can be viewed by clicking here
A proposal to amend ORS 723.466 and ORS 708A.430 to clarify the timelines and priorities in using Affidavits of Heirship to obtain funds from the account of a decedent. The proposal can be viewed by clicking here
