About the Section

The Executive Committee will from time to time mail to Section members a notice that the Section is preparing a Media Contact List. The notice will ask Section members if they would be willing to comment to media regarding subjects covered by the Section and, if so, to indicate the subjects on which they are willing and qualified to comment.

The Primary Media Contact Person (described below) will prepare the Media Contact List based on responses to the notice described above and in consultation with members of the Executive Committee. The Media Contact List will consist of the names and contact information for attorneys willing and qualified to comment to the media on subjects covered by the Section. The Media Contact List will identify with respect to each person the particular subjects on which that person is willing and qualified to comment. The Media Contact List may include persons who did not respond to a notice described above. However, any person on the Media Contact List must agree, in response to the notice or otherwise, to his or her inclusion on the Media Contact List.
Primary Media Contact Person

The Executive Committee will from time to time designate a member of the section to serve as the Section's Primary Media Contact Person.

The Primary Media Contact Person will maintain a Media Contact List. The Media Contact List will consist of names and contact information for Section members who are qualified and willing to comment to the media regarding subjects covered by the Section.

The Executive Committee will provide the name and contact information for the Primary Media Contact Person to the Oregon State Bar for the Bar to make available to media as the Bar deems appropriate. The Executive Committee will notify the Bar of any changes in the name or contact information for the Primary Media Contact Person.

The Primary Media Contact Person will be receptive to contacts from media for comments regarding subjects covered by the Section. The Primary Media Contact Person will assist media representatives in obtaining comments by referring media representatives to appropriate persons on the Media Contact List.
