Effectively manage NWPPA contracts with law firms and technical consultants. Must be able to work independently and manage the business affairs of NWPPA. Must be willing to travel regionally. Qualifications/Experience: Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry or larger forest products industry and the policy arenas affecting the industry. A law degree is preferred; however, an advanced degree in an appropriate public policy or related environmental field will be favorably considered depending on the total experience of the applicant. At least 10 years experience in environmental, legal, policy and regulatory issues in the Pacific Northwest is preferred. Applicants without direct experience with the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act will not be considered. Experience with energy and climate issues is desirable. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of the Professional Liability Fund is looking for two lawyer members to serve a five-year term on the PLF Board of Directors, beginning January 1, 2012. Directors attend approximately six board meetings a year, three of which are held in Tigard and three held in various locations throughout the state.
