ONLD Mentor Program


The New Lawyers Division of the Oregon State Bar invites you to join its Mentor Program. The program is designed to assist new lawyers in their transition from law school to a successful legal career.

The Mentor Program pairs new admittees with more experienced lawyers in their local communities. The volunteer lawyers have offered to answer questions and give advice about the practical and substantive aspects of practicing law. Your mentor will be an invaluable resource of practical advice, professional contacts and support to aid and guide you in your career. The time commitment is a minimum of one mentor-initiated contact each month, although the mentor/mentee can communicate as often as they wish. This program is intended to help new lawyers transition from law school to practice, it is not an employment solicitation program or recruiting device.
