BarBooks™ will be updated every time one of these titles
is supplemented or revised, and each new supplement or revision will usually
be posted before the print book is available! Plus any new titles released
by the OSB Legal Publications Department will be added to BarBooks™.
This means BarBooks™ will be updated 8 to 10 times during the term
of a one-year subscription.
How can I find what I am looking for in the BarBooks™ library?
Method #1: Explore Books

Click on a chapter to view the outline of that chapter
From the chapter outline level, click on a section to view the text
Method #2: Key word search
Select the books you want to search, or select all books
Enter your Boolean search criteria
Get detailed search results
Method #3: Cross-references
The many titles included in BarBooks often include cross-references to additional information on a topic in another section. All of those references are hot linked to the related section, so you can quickly and easily get to that additional information.
Method #4: Index reference
Each title includes a professionally created index. View the index of each book to find the information you are looking for referenced by section number.
BarBooks™ online library is replete with a multitude of features to make your research more efficient and effective, including:
Help – Any time you have a question about the BarBooks™ product, visit the very informative Help and FAQ page to find the answer.
Find – Search for a key term within a section to pinpoint just what you need in lengthy book sections.
Download Forms – In addition to viewing forms online, you can download each form in either MS Word or WordPerfect format.
Print – You can print individual sections of any book in the BarBooks™ library to store in your client files for quick access when you need it.
Text Select – You can copy and paste citations into an online primary research tool, or text into your word processing program.
Bookmark – You can add any section to your personal list of bookmarked sections for quick, easy tracking of the progress of your research. (Not available at initial launch.)
Session history – View the history of every section you have visited during a research session to find that section you wish you had bookmarked. (Not available at initial launch.)

Yes! All BarBooks™ online subscribers are entitled to a 40% discount off the purchase price of print publications. This discount can be combined with the 10% early-bird discount that is offered on all books when they are first released. Please note: Not available for web orders.
If you are a sole practitioner, law firm, corporate legal department, district attorney office, or governmental legal department, your BarBooks™ subscription is governed by a License Agreement, which provides:
- You are entitled to a total number of licenses equal to the upper range of the fee level you qualify for. For example, if you have 22 Oregon bar members in your firm, you are at Price Level 806, and are entitled to a total of 29 licenses without paying a higher fee.
- Your license is for a term of one year, unless renewed.
- Additional licenses ARE NOT required for secretaries, legal assistants, paralegals, law clerks, librarians, or other support staff of each attorney user.
- You are responsible for informing the OSB if there is a change in membership of your firm so that departing firm members do not continue to have access to BarBooks™ under your subscription.

If you are a law library, your subscription to BarBooks™ is governed by a License Agreement, which provides:
- You are entitled to a total number of licenses equal to the number of computer terminals you have available in your library.
- Your license is for a term of one year, unless renewed.
- You may allow access to BarBooks™ by your library patrons from the computer terminals in your library.
- You may not release your password(s) to any library patron.
